Missy:

Hey guys, welcome back to the Woo Woo Channeling Crew. We're really excited to have you here today. I'm Missy.

Denise:

And I'm Denise.

Missy:

And if you haven't already done so, give us a like, a follow, a share. We've been getting feedback lately that one of the most favorite episodes has been you and me just talking, two psychics off the cuff. So we decided that we would do another one of those episodes today where we are just talking. We have, well, we don't ever have a script, but we really don't have a script when we're off the cuff. And we don't have topics. We have no idea where the episode will go, what will come up, the stories that we'll tell, but I have a feeling that it will resonate even if you're not psychic or even if you are.

Denise:

I said to Missy earlier that I think our best episodes are when we're not recording. Right?

Missy:

Yes.

Denise:

When we're not recording, we can sit for hours about amazing things. Then it's like, God, why aren't we doing this when we hit record? So this is one of the reasons why we decided off the cuff. We got some really good numbers for off the cuff.

Denise:

We got a lot of I think it's our best episode so far.

Missy:

Yeah.

Denise:

Right? When it comes to downloads and subscriptions and things of that sort. You can subscribe through iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts, Spotify. There's like 15 of them, Missy?

Missy:

15 different ones where the episodes get distributed. So more likely than not, you're going to find us no matter where you go to listen to other podcasts, or you can go to each of our websites, and we each have a link that will take you to a main page, and from there, you can click on Amazon, Spotify, Apple, iHeartRadio, I think there's Podbean, and so on and so on.

Denise:

Yes. Because when you guys listen, it keeps us going. So if we see that there's a demand for us, we are going to put in the work. And we love this work. And this is why we created the podcast.

Missy:

Yeah. So before we hit record, we were talking about the fact that I love to read, and that's been brought up before. And I'm reading an excellent book right now called Theo of Golden by Allen Levi, L E V I. I don't know if he pronounces it Levi or Levy, not really sure. I love this book.

Missy:

The premise is an 86 year old man who arrives in a southern town by the name of Golden, and he wanders into a coffee shop called The Chalice, and up on the walls of the coffee shop are 92 portraits of people that live in and around the area of Golden, and he decides that he's going to purchase these portraits and find a way to give them back to their owners, and in order for that to happen, he meets each of these people at a fountain in the middle of Golden, and he wants them to tell them a story about themselves, and he will describe what he sees in each portrait: what he sees behind the eyes, what he might see in the smile, how the head is tilted. So it's a really, really good book. I highly recommend it for anybody.

Denise:

So Missy, when you're reading, do you read like fictional or nonfiction?

Missy:

I read mostly fiction.

Denise:

Okay. Do you ever find that the books that you read because you said you do read a lot, right? How many books do you read a week?

Missy:

Every night before I go to bed, I probably read for an hour or more. If I could read more depth, trust me, I would.

Denise:

So you know how we create our own little Rolodex? I'm aging myself using the word Rolodex, like a dictionary that we create with spirit, right? It's usually things that are happening in life. If I'm talking to a client and they bring up a situation, my third eye will open and Spirit will show me either like a client that has a similar situation or like a personal person in my life that has a similar situation and then I know, oh, it's similar to this. And that kinda helps me through the reading.

Denise:

Right? So someone comes in and they're complaining about, you know, my husband, he's got substance abuse and then spirit shows me in my head someone I know who is an alcoholic. And then I'll say, oh, is the substance alcohol? They'll say yes. Right?

Denise:

So it's kind of like this Pictionary type thing we do with Spirit. Do you find that your fictional books do the same thing? Is there someone that is in front of you and then you think of a fictional character, right? So like if the guy's a murderer in the book, I pray that you don't ever see the murderers because that's when you gotta press the red button. You have like a red button on your desk.

Missy:

Yeah, there's a little red button, and the trapdoor opens up underneath me, then I just fall through, then I'm gone.

Denise:

I was thinking the red button to get security, but you're like, Nope, I'm out of here.

Missy:

I'm like, No, I'm out of there. I'm not waiting for security. I'm out.

Denise:

So, do you ever find your characters that you read about, are they ever used in your spiritual rolodex?

Missy:

Yes. Obviously, with me reading as much as I do, there are a ton of characters. So if somebody is sitting in front of me and I'm doing a reading for them, and maybe they're having a difficult time with their child, the child is not behaving, they're not doing well in school, oftentimes that will tie into a character that I've read about, and I'm like, Oh, okay, I get it. Even in the book, I know that there's a certain outcome, and it doesn't mean that'll be their outcome, and I'm like, Okay, that makes sense to me. So, yeah, it's very relational for me, and that really helps for me to better understand, Oh, I get it.

Missy:

I see. I know why Spirit is showing me that, because this is maybe for lack of what the person isn't saying in front of me or doesn't wanna give me all the details or too many of the details, but I'm already relating it to this character, Anna, in a book. I'm like, I get it now.

Denise:

You're building up these ideas and characters and scenarios. You know, if a client says, yeah, I'm thinking about either moving to Florida or Iowa, right? You might see a visual you have when you're reading a book and you're like, oh, that's where spirit wants you to go.

Missy:

Yeah. I think our dictionary, our spiritual psychic dictionary, can come from many different sources, so it's not just about in the moment doing the reading and spirit then giving us an image or saying something in particular, or we feel something. It can be, yes, in the moment, but I just feel like it's everything that we experience, whether it's our own relationships, it's the books that we read, it's the programs that we watch, it's just our life experiences that Spirit continues to build that massive dictionary.

Denise:

I had a psychic say to me that I used to work with years ago. She was like, I don't understand how you can watch true crime and be able to do this work. And I was like, that's weird. She was talking about like watching or reading certain things that would bring down your vibration. Well, guess what?

Denise:

Your vibration is not my vibration. I can handle certain things and you can't handle certain things. I know intuitives who need to meditate for forty five minutes before they start their readings. I know intuitives that need to cleanse the space before they even make a phone call. So everybody's different.

Denise:

You know what I mean? Like some people are gonna have a Rolodex that has thousands and thousands of images and others don't need that. But I think all the sources, and guess what? By the way, my true crime, it's in my Rolodex, trust and believe. Remember having a guy come to read with me and he said, I'm so afraid of this court case I have coming up.

Denise:

And they showed me a man brutally beating his girlfriend. And that was from a TV show I watched, think it was like ID channel years ago. Like that image popped up and that was my way of understanding who was sitting in front of me. And then I found myself a little nervous. I'm not gonna lie because now I'm thinking this guy's a little, you know, erratic, doesn't have any emotional intelligence, right?

Denise:

Because you can't do what you do if you did. And then I have to now find a way to convey to him in a very nice way that, yeah, you are gonna do time for this without me having to be worried about his reaction and being able to deliver that message gently enough so that he could walk away peacefully, which he did. And I think that's a part of what we do, Missy, that a lot of people don't really grasp. Like, we are not just one tunnel in in doing this. We're not robots.

Denise:

Give me the message. Just tell her what this is. Right? Like Right. We're not.

Denise:

We we have to think about their feelings or emotions. We're throwing compassion in there. We're trying to figure out in our head, how do we say this gently? Or how do we not say something gently to a client who's just not getting it, right? Or a client who's being rude.

Missy:

Yes, exactly, and I actually had that situation occur over the weekend. I was doing a reading for a couple, and I was speaking more directly to him because a lot of times in a couple's reading, I just feel like spirit sort of shifts my body or moves my head, or I'll have to look in a certain direction. If I have three people sitting in front of me or four people in front of me, it's almost like it's mechanical for me, and spirit will be like, Okay, I need you to look over here. Okay, I'll just get a feeling this is for this particular person. So I was speaking directly to the male that was sitting in front of me.

Missy:

I had a male and a female, a couple. I was saying something to him and then out of the peripheral I could see her sort of nodding along or shaking her head, and so I turned to her

Denise:

In turned agreement with you, or?

Missy:

You know, at the time I didn't know, which is why I asked her the question, You're having a reaction to what I'm saying to him. What is your reaction? What does this mean for you?

Missy:

I'm saying this to him, but you're actually having a reaction. Does this mean? She said, Well, how do you know this? What? And I said, I don't know what you mean.

Missy:

She goes, How do you know this? We just had this conversation an hour before we got here. How do you know this?

Denise:

So was she shock or was it defense?

Missy:

I think it was a little bit of both.

Denise:

Oh, okay.

Missy:

I think it was this, how do you know about our intimate conversations? Then there's this, how do you know about our intimate conversations?

Denise:

Yeah, it's like, Hi. You give her your That's when you give her a business card, you're like, Hi, I'm Missy Taylor. This is what I do.

Missy:

Like, you know where I'll joke with somebody, and they'll just go, I don't know if you have realized this, but I'm a psychic, you know, and that usually gets them to loosen up, so I basically said that to her, and I said, Well, I'm not sure if you realize this, but you booked an appointment with me, and I'm a psychic, and she just laughed.

Denise:

Oh, you did say that. Okay.

Missy:

Yeah, did, and she sort of loosened up, and she goes, I'm just taken aback that you know about the conversation that we had, literally, she says to me, one hour before we got here, and everything that you're saying lines up with every single thing we are talking about, that we talked about.

Denise:

So when I said some people being rude and you said, yes, this happened this weekend. So did you find it to be rude?

Missy:

Yes, because I think she thought at first, you know, she hesitated to share with me that we just had this conversation, but I think there was this there was a little bit of underlying anger that I was picking up on, this frequency of, like, how dare you be involved with our intimate, you know, conversations? That kind of thing. Like, wow. How did you know this? And she was so taken aback that it came across as, Well, how dare you be involved in our intimate conversations?

Missy:

You know, spirit doesn't embarrass. It doesn't expose. Spirit always comes through for me. My experience is very loving, very guiding, encouraging. So I didn't feel me as the psychic that I was saying anything that would have felt like I was embarrassing somebody.

Denise:

But you have to remind yourself of that because you're dealing with all walks of life.

Missy:

Yes.

Denise:

Right? You can be as sweet as pie if this person gets irritated easily, has a short fuse, is defensive, like there's nothing you can really do about that. And that took me a while to get comfortable in that.

Denise:

Because I felt like when I first started, I was like a people pleaser. You know, if they're like, well, that doesn't make any sense. I'd be like, oh, okay, then that doesn't make any sense. And then I tried to change the subject. And now I did a reading yesterday where I shared with a client that, you know, her daughter really wants to share some things with her, but she finds that mom can be a little abrasive and I need you to soften up a little bit so that she can completely express her feelings. And her response to me was, and I kid you not, I do not believe that. That is not true. My daughter and I have an amazing relationship. There's nothing wrong.

Denise:

If she has something to say, she is more than comfortable with me. I don't woah. And in my head, I was thinking, and this reaction is exactly why your daughter wants.

Missy:

There there you go.

Denise:

Right? And I thought that I would just be quiet and let her hear herself, and then she'd figure it out, but she didn't. So finally, when she was done, I just said, I'm the messenger. So I'm slowly the messenger.

Missy:

Don't shoot the messenger

Denise:

There you go, but there's a reason why. And this is more than once that we've spoken. And this is more than once that spirit started off the reading like this. Yeah. Like at what point do you realize that, wow, I probably should take heed to it?

Denise:

Years ago, I did a reading for a scientist. So this was a doozy, right? And she literally walked in and with a smile and a smirk. And she said, listen, I'm only here to be entertained. I'm here because I'm friends with so and so and she thought this would be fun.

Denise:

And I was like, oh, might as well. So that's how she starts off. Like, okay, here we go. In the reading, they talked about her leaving where she's worked. And I said, something is gonna be either proposed to you or there's gonna be a major shift in your life and your guide says you need to prepare. We're talking eight to ten months. And she started to laugh, like this was her thing, to just laugh and scoff. And she says, I've worked with this company for thirty years. I'm not going anywhere. And so as a, I mean, this literally was about fifteen years ago.

Denise:

So fresh, I'm new to the work. What do you do with that? She has an attitude. She's scoffing at me. Everything I said, there's a slight rolling of the eyes. In My head, I'm like, why are you here?

Denise:

Right? Like, I'm not a Carney show. Like, you you can go to, like, the South Florida fair and and remember the movie Big with Tom Hanks? Like, they put a quarter in and a little genie, right? Like, go to a fair if that's what you want.

Denise:

Like like, this is, in my head, I'm like, this is real deal. I know what the hell I'm doing. So to make a long story short, one week later, I get a call from her and she asked me to call her back. And I called her back and she said, I'd like to book a longer session with you because some things have come up. And so we booked the session and in the session she said, my company came to me and is offering a severance or like a early retirement package.

Denise:

It really caught me off guard and I just, I wanted to walk through this with you, if you could guide me on how I need to proceed moving forward. So the reason why I'm sharing that, and I'm so glad you shared your experience, please take this seriously. I always say, don't book if you are uncertain. Don't book if you think it's a quote unquote joke. Some people will book for fun.

Denise:

If you've got the money to waste, then knock yourself out, right? But just always keep an open mind because sure enough, look at the examples. This woman comes to you, they go to the psychic center, they pay money knowing that they're getting psychic services, and then they walk in and she's shocked and she's hemming and she's making faces and she's doing this and she can't believe it. And she's questioning you as if like you were a fly on the wall in the car or you were a fly on the wall in their home, right? I always say be prepared. Like do it because it makes sense. Now I could easily say spirit, whatever reason spirit wanted her to come see me, you know, that's divine.

Denise:

She's talking to one of my clients. My client says, Hey, why don't you go with her? Oh, this is silly. I don't believe in psychics. Just go anyway.

Denise:

You know, I understand divine timing, right? And divine guidance, but just try your best to keep an open mind because you never know.

Missy:

Yeah. I guess I would, I want people to understand that we take what we do very seriously and we've chosen, both of us have chosen to walk away from the corporate world where we could have had, you know, good careers, more stability, maybe more emotional stability. Yeah. I don't know, depending on, you know, what we were choosing to do, but you know, we could have had the regular routine of nine to five and Monday through Friday.

Denise:

A guaranteed 401k

Missy:

Yep. You know, 401k and all these other things, but that was not our life's plan. That wasn't the purpose. That is not what we were called to do. So when that call came, we both chose to answer it.

Missy:

So this work means a lot to Denise and I, and when I'm in a reading, I want the best for that person that I'm reading for, but Missy isn't part of the reading. She's just the conduit, right? But I am making sure that I'm saying what I need to say in a very conscientious way, in a very compassionate, loving, kind way. I'm listening. I'm feeling.

Missy:

I'm seeing, I'm hearing. Sometimes I'm tasting, sometimes I'm smelling. I mean, there's all of that going on at the same time. And the only thing that I really expect from the person sitting with me is to just be open. Just be open.

Missy:

That's the simplest thing that you can do when you go into a psychic reading. I feel like I'm not that person at the carnival that you put a coin in the slot and they spit out a message on a piece of paper. I'm not the eight ball that you shake up, that you get a yes, a no, a maybe, or don't do that, or I don't know. I'm not that eight ball. I'm a person who cares about what they're doing, that is sometimes on an emotional roller coaster right along with the person that I'm reading for, even though I'm trying to hold that safe space.

Missy:

And my emotions are going up and down. you know?

Denise:

And we have to be grounded while we're going up and down. Like, they don't realize, like, how we're getting this information is because we're matching their energy.

Missy:

Yeah. Yeah.

Denise:

So I I totally get that. You know, speaking of carnival, I have a really cool story to share. So my friend in college, we were trying to tell like the spookiest stories that we could think of. And he said that his grandfather, which was like back in the twenties, right, went to a carnival with his friends and there was a com reader. The reason I'm thinking because we talked about big and you put the coin in the slot, but she was a real person.

Denise:

And she read everyone and then it got to one of his grandfather's friends and she looked at his palm and she looked up at him with her eyes wide open and he said, what? And she said, you have no future. And he was like, what? And then she stopped and she was like, I'm not doing any more readings. Right?

Denise:

So of course the guy's like panicking and they're like, listen, don't worry. It's stupid. It's a carnival. She's not real. You know, let's just go home.

Denise:

And they were just trying to comfort him because it was weird. Everybody else got their future red. Right? And on their way home, they were in the car and the passenger back seat, the door handle was loose. And as they were driving home, they hit a pothole and the door opened.

Denise:

The friend who she didn't read because he had no future fell out, the car ran over him and he died. Isn't that crazy? So not all carnival psychics are bogus. That was the moral of the story. No, I just said that.

Denise:

But I remember hearing stories like that and thinking, holy cow. Missy, as you were growing up, did you ever find that when you would hear certain stories like that or hear anything supernatural? For me, it gripped me in a way where I knew it didn't make sense. Like, I remember second grade, my best friend telling this story. Remember Reader's Digest?

Denise:

Are they still around?

Missy:

Laughter is the best medicine. I used to open it up and go straight to humor section.

Denise:

Yeah. Well, I didn't go in there often, but I remember my friend, Brenda, my best friend back in elementary school, and she said, yeah, was reading the Reader's Digest, and it said that this person was in a car accident, there was traffic, and when it's kinda like the sixth sense thing, where somebody drove past and they saw the woman behind them and it was her ghost, and I remember all of us like, woah, that's such a crazy story. And I remember that story not leaving me. Look where I am now. And I never forgot that.

Denise:

I thought, what is that? What is that world? What does that mean? I can look back and think of these little nuggets of things that happened in my life where I'm like, holy cow, I should have known then. Like what seven year old becomes obsessed about something like that?

Missy:

Yeah. I used to live in Cincinnati, Ohio, and I lived in an apartment building that had a rooftop swimming pool, and that was unheard of. I lived in Cincinnati 2000 to 2004, and I lived right near the football stadium and within walking distance of the baseball stadium, so a lot of the professional athletes used to live in my building. So we always used to have these parties up at the pool deck, and we'd play cornhole, and everybody, all the football players, baseball players, it was huge. So we had a big party one night, and then everybody decided that they were going to go to Downtown Cincinnati.

Missy:

I believe it's called Vine Street, and it runs from downtown up to the University of Cincinnati. There was this guy that lived at the apartment building, and for some reason, he really took a liking to me. I rode to the clubs with somebody else, and he got very jealous of that. As we arrive at this one club Now, club was kind of cool because one side it had kind of like hip hop music playing, and you could dance over there, and then if you walked down this hallway where the bathrooms were, went to another side of this bar, this club, and it played jazz music, something a little more low key. And I remember him saying to me, I'm really upset that you rode with so and so.

Missy:

I wanted you to ride with me, and I said, Well, I'm not trying to offend you. I was just jumping in a car to get down here, and I remember at the time, before leaving the apartment building, the guy that I rode with said, don't need your key. You don't need your license. You don't need money. I got it covered. I'll take care of everything. And I just wasn't thinking. I was like, Oh, okay. Yeah, sure. And so I didn't have a key to get into the outside apartment door, like to get into the building.

Missy:

I didn't have my license with me, and I didn't have any money with me, so remember those things. So we get to this club, and this other guy was telling me kind of how he felt, and I remember him handing me a drink. I'm not a drinker. And he hands me a drink and he said, I bought you a drink. And I said, That's okay. I'm not a drinker, but thank you anyways. I was just there to dance and have a good time. And he said, No, I need you to drink it. And I said, No, that's okay. I want anything. And he goes, Just take a sip, or you're going to offend me. And I was like, Okay. So I took the smallest sip I could.

Missy:

I'm not saying that he put something in it. I just had a feeling he may have put something in it, and I remember saying to myself, I need to get away from this guy. I need to get away from him, and I tried to excuse myself to go to the bathroom, because I knew that if I excused myself to go to the bathroom, that I could go out the other side of the club, right, and I could get home

Denise:

Right.

Missy:

So I said, I'm going to the bathroom. He says, I'll come with you.

Missy:

I go, I don't need you to come with me. Stop this. I'm just going to the bathroom. I'll be right back. And I literally, on my way to the bathroom, I said, God, I don't know how you need to get me out of this situation, but you need to get me out of this situation. Please.

Missy:

I go out the other side of the bar and I start walking down, because I'm like, I gotta walk home at this point. It's late at night. I didn't have money, right? I didn't have anything on me, so I remember as I'm walking down the sidewalk, I kept glancing over my shoulder to see if he was coming after me, and glancing and glancing and glancing, and there were two guys, and the guy says, one guy says, Are you okay?

Missy:

And I said, No, I'm not. He said, What's the matter? I kind of explained the situation. He goes, Can we give you a ride home? I literally said, My mom told me never to talk to strangers.

Missy:

I said, I don't want to choose wrong. That's what I said to him, I don't want to choose wrong. He goes, Well, tonight you're choosing right. We'll take care of you. So I remember walking over to his car, and he had a Porsche, and the license plate said, Pat Law, so he was a patent attorney.

Missy:

And we get in the car, I had to sit on the one guy's lap while the other guy drove.

Denise:

Oh my gosh.

Missy:

I remember that his name was Joseph Callahan, and when the other guy, when I asked him what his name was, it was so garbled that I didn't understand it. They drive me to my home, and now I have to wait until somebody is going to come downstairs to let me into the building. I'm really nervous. So they were very, very nice, and I was standing on the sidewalk and I'm talking to them, and I said, Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.

Missy:

Is there any way that I can pay you back? He's like, No, don't worry about it, whatever. I see somebody come downstairs, get off the elevator, and so I said, Okay, somebody's right here. Thank you so much. Guys, have a nice night.

Missy:

I really appreciate it. I get inside the building, and the guy that let me in, he goes, Who were you talking to? And I said, The two guys out there in the Porsche. And he goes, There's nobody out there. I Said, What?

Missy:

And he said, There's nobody out there. And I said, Yeah, two guys in the Porsche. They dropped me off and, yeah. And he goes, No. He goes, I was kind of like, Is she okay?

Missy:

Who's she talking to? He goes, There was nobody out there. And I look around, there's no car nearby, nothing. I had a friend who worked

Denise:

oh my gosh.

Missy:

I had a friend who worked for an insurance company, and I called her up and I said, I need you to look up a license plate for me. I won't give her name or who she worked for, but I said, I need you to look up this license plate, Pat Law. It's on a Porsche. She looked it up and she said, Yeah, this car was basically demolished back in 1996, and she didn't give me the name. She just said, All I have here are initials J. C. And she said, Yeah, apparently it was demolished, and whoever was in it had died. I was like, Woah. Oh my god. Those were angels.

Missy:

And the fact that the initials were JC, I think everybody can put that together.

Denise:

Jesus Christ. No, I'm just kidding. Wow.

Missy:

But that was one of my earliest experiences with angels, and I've never forgotten that experience. It was just a really beautiful I got home. I was safe. Yeah. Yeah, it was amazing.

Missy:

And I prayed about it. I said, God, please, I don't care what you need to do to get me out of this situation, but please get me out of it. And he sent me two angels.

Denise:

Missy, you not only had somebody walking with you, this isn't even like an angel, this is someone who crossed over. Yeah. Is clearly still earthbound.

Missy:

Yeah.

Denise:

Right? But is he earthbound?

Missy:

Yeah, that's a good question. You know, for me, knowing what I know now, I don't know if I would have called him earthbound at the time.

Denise:

Yeah. Oh yeah.

Missy:

I would have definitely said that he was sent as a guide or an angel. He chose kind of to come and help or was chosen to come and help. The thing that still kind of confuses me is I heard very distinctly that his name was Joseph Callahan. Yeah. But when I asked the other guy, What is your name?

Missy:

It sounded like you went, Woah, woah, woah, woah, that. And I remember I didn't want to ask again. I'm sorry. What did you say your name was?

Denise:

Right.

Missy:

Because I didn't wanna offend him that I didn't hear it the first time around, but I don't think I was meant to hear his name.

Denise:

I don't think so either. I think that the message was giving you someone who you could verify, and then that makes you think. You actually lived that. I mean, you got physically in the car. You were sitting on someone's lap.

Missy:

Yeah. And everything just felt so uncomfortable, but comfortable. I'm trying to get out of a situation where I think someone's put something in a drink. This is a guy that lived in my building, and I kept my distance from him at that point, you know, after that.

Denise:

By was the way, how'd you get in? You didn't have your keys and your ID. How did you get into your apartment if you didn't

Missy:

I had the key to my apartment. I didn't have the key to the outside building.

Denise:

So you didn't have your but you said you had no ID and no money?

Missy:

Yeah. I didn't have my

Denise:

Got it. I get it.

Missy:

it was left in my apartment. Okay. Was a big rush when we were all at the, you know, we were all at the swimming pool, we're we're playing, and everybody's like, the last moment, you know how it is when you're young, you're like, okay, everybody, we're leaving. Everybody get your crap together. We're going.

Denise:

And then you pop in.

Missy:

And I and I remember saying, oh, I I need to run down to my apartment. I need to grab my ID and and my money and blah blah blah. And he was like, no. You don't need any of that. Come on. I got it. I'll take care of it.

Denise:

So what happens now? You have to see this guy who lives in your building. What happened after that?

Missy:

Yeah, I just kept my distance. I Remember living on the 6th Floor. He was on the 2nd Floor. We kinda ran in We kinda did run-in different circles. He was this guy, and I know his name, but I'm not gonna say it.

Missy:

He would find women, I'll put it that way, for the baseball and the football players.

Denise:

Oh, God. He's a recruiter

Missy:

So he really didn't have a great reputation, but I learned about that later. I didn't know that at the time because I was new in the building, Wow. So I moved in right around October, and this was later on in that month. It was a situation, and I remember another friend of mine talking about how they had a flat tire along the side of the road, and somebody stopped to help them, and they had their friend sitting in the car, and they thought he was out changing the tire, and didn't realize that somebody had stopped behind him, an angel, and helped change the tire. And he was out having conversation and talking and everything, and he gets back in the car and he says, Who are you talking to?

Missy:

And he says, Well, this guy that stopped to help me change a tire. He had the jack, and she goes, There's nobody out there. He's, Yeah, this guy, blah, blah, blah. She like, No, there wasn't anybody out there. I got out of the car and I opened the door and kind of peeked up over the top of the car to see who you were talking to

Denise:

I there was nobody was just sitting here trying to think about if I had an experience like that. I was very young. My brother was a troublemaker, and I don't know how he pissed off these big kids in the neighborhood. And they were like, well, we see you. We're gonna kick your ass.

Denise:

And so I remember we had to take the long way home. And after, like, a while, he just got comfortable and was just like, we'll just go back the same way we usually go. And on our way walking, he's sitting on his porch and he sees us and I'm like, oh my god, my brother's like, stand close to me. And this kid runs across the street towards my brother and he was like, yeah, you little punk, you like, whatever. And this old lady comes over, she's got, you know those little push carts?

Denise:

You go to a grocery store and you kinda walk your groceries home, and she comes out of nowhere and she's like, hey, what's going on here? And she's like, no, no, no, there's no violence. Starts giving them this little mini talk about behaving yourself and doing the right thing. And the guy mushes my brother's jaw with his hand like, I'll see you next time or something like that. Right?

Denise:

So eighties, right? And he walks away, and the lady starts to go the opposite direction, and my brother and I are walking. And when my brother and I turned to look, there was nobody there.

Missy:

Yeah.

Denise:

My brother was like, What'd she do? Jump in the bushes? we Were trying to figure out where we're like, But she's old. Why would she jump in the bushes? And she had a cart, so how is that You guys, if you have any experiences like that that you wanna share with us, maybe Missy, we could create a segment where people could share these really cool stories.

Missy:

Think that would be great. You know, it's after having my first reading with you and then, you know, revealing kind of what I'm here to do, I started to think about where I had had encounters. Like, has this popped up in my life before and I just never realized it? Have I really been protected this whole time? Have I really been kept out of harm's way?

Missy:

What kind of experiences have I had that gave me glimpses or gave me a glimpse into I'm either meant to do this work or that angels are real or whatever it may be, anything that I may have questioned. So that has stayed with me twenty plus years, and I distinctly remember after I said, Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. Is there, Can I send you some money? Do you have an address? Please, can I send you some money for bringing me home?

Missy:

And he's like, No, no, no. Don't be ridiculous. I wanted to do this for you. He's very specific about saying, I wanted to do this for you, and I said, Well, it just means so much that I was kept safe, and I'm like, Oh, here's somebody. They can open the building for me, and I said, Hey, have a nice night, and in that instance, gone, just disappeared.

Missy:

I remember I lived at 4th And Plum, Downtown Cincinnati, and the light at the corner was red, So they wouldn't have been able to get beyond that light in that moment because it was red. Right. And when he was like, There's nobody there. I don't know. Who are you talking to?

Missy:

I'm just seeing you out here kind of flailing your hands and whatnot.

Denise:

You guys, for those of you who are supernatural, supernatural, you might be supernatural too. You could be supernatural. I remember the first time someone said to me, you are intuitive. I couldn't really define what that meant. And the intuitive I was speaking to said, jot down five things in your life that has happened to you that were paranormal or what felt supernatural.

Denise:

And I remember driving home thinking, God, five, like, does that determine how sensitive I am? I can't think of five. And when I got home and wrote the list, I had thirty, twenty five to thirty. As I'm writing it, I'm like, Denise, what? Like, how did you not?

Denise:

We just thought it was natural. I didn't know that when you turn on a television that not everyone could hear the squeal. I always hear a squeal. Don't even know to describe it. It's like a, yeah, it's like a squeal and my whole life. I thought everybody heard that. Until one day I was talking to my boss and she's like, no, that's not normal. Nobody right? You hearing Yeah. You're not normal. That's not normal.

Denise:

No. And then I remember as TVs got better and we hit the two thousands and like, I didn't hear it as much. So maybe that's technology, but I remember clearly in the eighties and the nineties, every time I turned on the TV, I felt this vibration, this sensation, and I would hear it. Didn't realize that that wasn't normal. So sit, like sit down guys. If you're really trying to really gauge where you sit in this work or just in this sensitivity, right? Cause it doesn't have to be work for you.

Denise:

Sit down and try to write down anything that you can remember, like the stories that Missy and I just shared.

Missy:

Yeah. When you were talking about the squeal, when I'm engaged in a reading, it's getting ready to shift to mediumship, like somebody's coming through, I get a very high pitched noise, like, like that, in my left ear. Always my left.

Denise:

I get it in my right ear.

Missy:

I know instantly someone's coming through. The energy is shifting. Something's changing. And I love how that's a really great exercise to sit down and think of the times or think of the instances or experiences that or you've had where your sensitivity has been heightened or whether it's been an angel encounter or even telepathy. I love that one because that happens a lot to me, and it probably does to you too, where you're thinking about someone like, You know, I wonder if they're doing okay, and I need to reach out to them, and then here comes the text message or the phone call from them.

Denise:

Yeah.

Missy:

So it just shows, to me, it proves the interconnectedness of all of us, this universal consciousness that we share and that frequency that we put out there where we're attracting something. I can remember those things happening to me a lot, But early on, prior to the discovery of the gifts, I just thought it was a coincidence because they would call and I go, oh, I was just thinking about you. Like, it was just happenstance.

Denise:

Yeah. It's so casual. Right?

Denise:

Yeah. The squeal in the ear, I'll even get it sometimes when I pray or prepare for a reading. It feels like different frequencies. I will it feel like it got clogged, my my right ear. It's usually my right ear, and then the squealing begins.

Denise:

It used to sound like an old fax machine back in the day. It's gotten nicer. Well, there it is. Yeah.

Missy:

That's a great way to describe

Denise:

Yeah. It's not as jarring now.

Missy:

Yeah. And I'll notice that sometimes it'll start a little bit dull, like it's getting my attention, and then it it gets really loud. And then, like you just described, something almost like a clogging. Like, that's all I can hear at that moment. Like, I'm not cognizant of anything happening on the right side.

Denise:

Right.

Missy:

It's just wow. And almost to where it kinda makes me, like, kinda close my left eye. Like, I'm like, oh, wow. That that is. Wow.

Denise:

It's a it's a pressure shift. Kind of like when you're in a plane and you're descending, like you feel that shift. That's what it feels like.

Missy:

I Mentioned that to another reader at the Center for the New Age. I said something about, I was standing and talking to her, and then all of a sudden I got that and I went, Oh. And she goes, Oh, are you getting a high pitched noise? She knew right away, and I said, Yes, I am. And she said, That's you connecting to the different dimensions. It's like you're traveling through the dimensions.

Denise:

For that squeal, it's like, Okay, I have to either get to work, call the person that I'm thinking about, or it's a message for me. I remember one time having really bad anxiety around a subject and instantly the shutdown, the pressure, the sensation behind the eye, the squeal, and then that was my way of knowing spirit wanted to give me a message. Yeah. So then that's when I calmed down because I'm not gonna be able to hear them if my anxiety's heightened. And it almost felt like a soother. And then it's like, oh, okay, breathe. Spirit has a message. Then I was able to calm down and then boom, I got the message. Boom, I knew what to do. Boom, I was okay.

Missy:

Yeah. And it's that reminder in the moment that we're here.

Denise:

Yeah.

Missy:

Right? It's comforting in a way.

Denise:

Completely comforting. It's like a pacifier to a baby sometimes.

Missy:

Yeah, absolutely. I remember one time doing a mediumship reading, and I got the squealing, the high pitched, and I kind of closed my left eye because I was like, Wow, this is really strong. Then the woman said to me, Oh, are you getting something like that? Said, and I go, As a matter of fact, I am. You know, so it was really cute because apparently my face had this reaction. I'm like, Put my finger in my ear, Oh, let me get rid of this, you know? Right. She was like, Oh God, are you getting something? I am.

Denise:

Yes. I am.

Missy:

But, yeah, I love that we we each have that experience, but yours comes in one side and mine comes in a different side.

Denise:

Yeah. And the first time I ever heard a voice speak was on the left side. So the ringing is on the right side. Wasn't spirit. It was like someone who had just passed away.

Denise:

And I could hear his voice clearly. It comes on the left. Everybody is different, guys. Every reader is different. When someone sits in front of me and they say, oh, well, I I went to another psychic and she said this.

Denise:

I I don't not to sound rude, I don't care. I don't wanna hear what another intuitive said to you. Or someone will say, you know, oh, when I I have the same card deck and when I pull, this card means this. I don't care what it means to you. I can have one card for seven clients in one day and they'll all have seven different meanings. Not about the cards. The cards are cheat sheets. They're just cheat sheets, right? So everybody is different. Find your own style. Stay in your lane with what you know works for you.

Missy:

Yeah. And that's interesting that you get the squeal and then the voice in the opposite, and that's exactly how it is for me. I get the high pitched in my left. It's like it's getting my attention, and then the voice comes through the right.

Denise:

Isn't that interesting?

Missy:

It's like, Okay, time to pay attention. Something's happening.

Denise:

Yeah. So I like that I have that. Now, does that happen every single time in a reading? No.

Denise:

Yeah.

Missy:

But No.

Denise:

When it does happen, it's like pay attention, right?

Missy:

Yep.

Denise:

Especially since we know we don't need that to validate anything So when it does happen, we're like, Oh, oh, something big is happening. Right?

Missy:

Yeah. For sure. All right, guys. We really appreciated you being here with us today. Just kind of hearing us rip a little bit, you know, off the cuff, sharing some stories about our angel encounters.

Missy:

I think we were all over the place, but that's part of what being off the cuff is. We talk about whatever intuitively comes to us, and we share it, and hopefully you just have fun listening to what we share and you get something out of it. That's the most important part of it, and I think this is going to become, we decided, kind of a regular recurring segment that we'll do often, off the cuff. And we really just appreciated you being here with us today. How can people get in touch with you if they'd like to do a reading with you, which I highly suggest.

Denise:

Oh, thank you. Divineguidance944.com or denisepowell944.com. I do zoom and phone readings. And for you Missy?

Missy:

I am at 3rd-eye-open.com. I also do phone and Zoom. And if you are in the Sedona area, I do in person readings at the Center for the New Age. Would love to connect.

Denise:

And I heard somebody on YouTube do this the other day. He said, send this recording or this video or this audio or this podcast to the last person you texted. Take a look at who you just last texted and just send them the podcast and see if they're interested. Alright?

Missy:

love that.

Denise:

Alright, guys.

Missy:

We love you. Thank you so much for being here. Again, we can't thank you enough for supporting our journey.

Denise:

Thank you, and bye bye.

Missy:

Bye.
