When Peace of Mind Becomes Non- Negotiable
Download MP3Hello everyone and welcome back to the Woo Woo Channeling Crew. I'm Missy.
Denise:And I'm Denise.
Missy:We've been getting a lot of great feedback where we just talk about things we've been dealing with, things that have been coming up, interesting readings we've had. But we did briefly before starting this recording talk about peace and how important it is that we have peace, not just us, but everyone. Would you agree with that?
Denise:Yeah, and that came from us just talking about what's going on in our personal lives and realizing how we too are getting tested here and there. When I first started, I always say when I first started, but when I first started doing readings, Brian Tracy has a quote, and I'm paraphrasing, but said, peace of mind is your highest priority and then build your life around it. And every time I would say that quote or see that quote, I would always see a sunflower. And I'd always imagine that the the center of the sunflower is your peace of mind and all the petals are everything that happens in life. So two petals fall off, you're still upright. One petal's a breakup. Another one's you lost your job or you're fighting with your sibling, right? But yet you're still upright. I always like to encourage people who are in relationships. Like you can't make the relationship your peace of mind because the core of the sunflower is going to collapse. And then what happened to all the petals?
Denise:And so, yeah, Missy and I were talking briefly right before we hit record just about some trying times, especially Missy right now, and the importance of making shifts and changes in your life to ensure that peace of mind is the priority. And once you make it the priority, everything else has to kind of fall in line to make sense to you because you don't really want to overcompensate, right? A lot of us in our lives, we overcompensate for others. We want peace of mind. I don't want confrontations.
Denise:And yeah, Missy's kind of been going through a little bit of that. You want to share with them a little bit?
Missy:Yeah, so I am in a house share situation, not where we're in the same space, but that there is someone who inhabits the space above, and there's someone who inhabits the space below, and I am in the space below. So it can be considered kind of like apartment living. So if anyone out there has ever lived in an apartment, you know what it's like when you have somebody walking above you or if you're the person above and you're making the noise for the person below, your music's too loud, we can smell you burning palosanto, any number of those things. So, I've been in this home since of March 2025, so I'm a little over a year now, and the first part of that year, March of 'twenty five through December 2025, I was sharing the home with the woman who owned it. Very caring, compassionate, in the spiritual space, does a lot with women empowerment.
Missy:She's an ordained priestess. I mean, she's just a beautiful soul. So when we shared this space, it was very cooperative, very collaborative. The other piece of this is that the laundry that's shared is in the upstairs unit. So, anytime I need to do laundry, I've got to notify the person upstairs, Hey, I need to do laundry, and then I just enter the space and do my laundry.
Missy:When the landlord was here, that was never of an issue. She would even tell me, Hey, I'm going to be gone for the rest of the day, or gone on Saturday and Sunday if you want to do your laundry, you can. So, anytime that we were going to be doing anything within our spaces that might disturb the other person, we would let the other one know by communicating, Hey, by the way, I'm going to be doing a sound healing, I'm going to be conducting a ceremony. Very open, honest, cooperative, collaborative energy between the two of us. Not only that, but we also held the land that the house sits on in reverence.
Missy:Things changed where the landlord was going to be renting now the upstairs, and she was going to be moving into a house in Sedona, and so she rented this house to a new tenant. I did not get to meet the tenant before they moved in, but all the things that she said about the tenant seemed okay to me, and that new tenant moved in in January. And pretty much since January, I feel like I've been walking around on eggshells because
Denise:I wanna stop you for a sec. You wanna know why? I want people to understand how normal we are. We do psychic readings for a living. We're constantly on alert when we're in a call with a client. Who is either like a non believer or probably just questions a lot would say, well, if you're a psychic, you know, how did you not know certain things? But you have a landlord who is in alignment with you, your beliefs, what you do. She's peaceful. She's got great energy. You would not second guess her choices.
Denise:Right?
Missy:Correct.
Denise:I felt like it was important for me to say that because I can hear someone twenty minutes listening into this would say, well, if you're so intuitive, why didn't you you know what I mean? Yeah. Like, you gotta understand, first of we're not on 100% of the time.
Denise:Right?
Missy:Right.
Denise:We're not a vaudeville show. And two, we're trusting our environment and the people that we trust. Okay. Go ahead.
Missy:Yeah. No. Thank you for adding that. I think that really clarifies kind of, yeah, we are normal. We deal with normal things, which can be relationship woes, disagreements with family members, we've got to get the car fixed, we've got to do our own grocery shopping. We just don't fly around like fairies and everything is magically taken care of for us and everything is perfect. That doesn't happen like that, and it certainly doesn't happen and hasn't happened like that within this situation. Yeah, so I did not get a chance to meet the individual beforehand, no big deal. Then the tenant moved in, and from that moment it's been nothing but one problem after another. A lot of people listening to this don't know me and some people who listen to this do know me.
Missy:I'm a very balance and harmony, want everybody to get along, want things to be fair kind of person, and I'm typically the person that if there is a disagreement, I like to bridge the gap. I like to find the peace. Peace is important to me. I cannot stress that enough that I want peace where I work, but most importantly, when I come home, sometimes I'm doing readings here, this has to be a peaceful environment just to hold me. So most days I'm holding space for other people.
Missy:I don't always have someone in my domain to hold space for me, so I expect my home to be the thing that holds space for me, where this is my sanctuary and I am safe and I can rest here. And it's been anything but that for five months. Music playing loudly. If I mention that the music has been played loudly, I get that we'll put headphones on or that's too bad because I need it to fall asleep. It's just been one issue after another.
Denise:No cooperation?
Missy:Zero cooperation, and then when I try to talk to the person about, Hey, can we meet somewhere in the middle? They yell at me. One of the most recent things was, I have a problem with being disrespected. Yes, I do. Absolutely.
Missy:That's the first thing that this person has said that I have agreed with.
Denise:Who says that though? Who says to someone, You don't like being disrespected, do you? It's like, Yeah, no, I also don't like being carjacked. Yeah. It's a weird thing to say.
Missy:Yeah.
Missy:I can tell you what it was about is that she was having movers here to help her set up her space after being here for five months. Not one box had been unpacked. So she was having people come in to help her kind of set up the space. I don't know if that means unpacking or putting things away, hanging curtains, setting up a bed, a couch. I don't know.
Missy:Wasn't too concerned about that. So she told me that the movers would be here on a certain day. If I needed to plan anything that I needed to do that required quiet, that I would have the freedom to do that on other days. Neither Of us are engaged in the comings and goings of the other. We don't have that kind of living situation where, Hey, by the way, I'm going to work today
Denise:Or relationship, not even living
Missy:Or relationship. We have zero relationship. No more than you would be in your apartment and tell tenants in the next building over, Hey, wanna let you know I'm gonna be at work Monday through Friday. It just you don't do that. So it turned out that the movers did not come on the day that she said they would.
Missy:They were coming the next day, and it wasn't until that day where it felt like somebody was dropping a ton of bricks on the floor, my ceiling, that I made a phone call and I said, Hey, what's going on upstairs? She said, My movers are here, and I said, Well, I thought the movers were going to be here yesterday, and she said, Oh, they were too busy. They couldn't come until today. I said, So why wasn't that communicated to me? And she said, Because when I told you that they were going to be there on Thursday, you were rude to me.
Missy:And so I said, I'm sorry. I don't understand that. What do mean I was rude to you? When I told you that they were going to be here on Thursday, you were rude to me. I go, What was my response?
Missy:She goes, Well, I don't know. I don't have time for this. And she hung up. So I went back into the text messages to find out what did I say that came off as rude, because that made me feel bad when I heard it.
Denise:We have receipts. Good. It was in writing.
Missy:Exactly, so the text message went something like this, Hey, by the way, I'm gonna have movers here on Thursday. My response was, I'll be in Sedona on Thursday. That was it. Was end of conversation, and that's what she thought was rude. I did a little screenshot and sent it to her. I go, Is this what you thought was rude? And I said, I don't understand that, And I said, That's kind of unacceptable for you to call that rude. Like, where is this coming from? That was the five months of buildup, and that was the fever pitch for me. And so, a week goes by, and trash has to go out on Thursdays and then in on Fridays.
Missy:There was never an agreement made between us about who will take the trash out, who will bring the trash in. I don't know, somehow it fell into Missy always takes the trash out and she always brings the trash in. Okay, I don't have a problem. I've been doing it for six months now. So I sent a text message to her and said, Hey, the recycle bin also has to go out this evening.
Missy:Would you mind I can't get it past your car and I don't want to risk hitting your car. Would you mind moving your car and then going ahead and taking the bin down to the curb? So it's all of a 20 foot walk. It's not that far.
Denise:Right.
Missy:The next thing I know, I get a text message that says, I left the bin for you. And I wrote back, What? Like, I didn't know what that meant. And she wrote, I left the bin for you. So what I realized is that she just moved her car and left the bin for me in the garage to take down to the curb.
Missy:You know, I've been taking the bins down. It's it's no problem. She's been bringing them back in. So what I'm just saying, at this point, you're already there. You're moving your car. Just just grab the bin and take it down to the curb. Just Let's help each other out. It's not that big of a deal. You're already out there instead. Then I had to go back out and take the bin down to the curb.
Missy:Yeah. So again, these are the little things. I'm kind of just ticking off you know, little things, not a list, but I'm just ticking them off in my brain mentally going, What? Like, I don't get this. Like, why is this person so uncooperative all the time?
Denise:What was the showdown?
Missy:Yeah, the showdown was the next morning, Friday. I was getting ready to leave for Sedona's about 08:30 in the morning, and I noticed I had a package delivered, I went out to get it, and I saw that she was out there moving the recycle bin back into the garage. At the time, I noticed that it looked like the air on her passenger side front tire was low, so I said, Hey, I don't know if you've checked your tires recently, but it looks like your pressure is low. So she walked into the garage and kicked the tire. I will never understand why people do that. Don't know what that accomplishes, but anyway, she kicked the tire, And then I said, when was the last time you put air in your tires? And she said, it's been maybe eight months. It's been a while. And I said
Denise:Look at you still trying to, like, be decent. Like, when you're dealing with a character like this, even small talk is gonna get complicated. But you are trying to just kind of break the ice to some degree.
Missy:I really was, and the package that I had was actually some teas that I ordered, and she saw the name on the package of where I'd gotten the teas from, and I said, Have you ever tried these teas? And she said, I've seen them being advertised. Are they good? And I go, They're amazing. And I thought at that time that this would be a good moment to maybe see if we could compromise on what's been going on and the tension that's been between us.
Denise:Right.
Missy:So I said, Hey, I feel like things have been kind of out of sorts with us since the debacle with the movers, and I said, I don't want there to be any tension between us because we still have to share this home and I still have to do my laundry upstairs and I just want to and I didn't even really get to finish. She said, Well, it's your fault. And I said, I'm sorry, and she says, It's your fault, and I said, Why is it my fault? She said, Because you should have told me you were going to be home on Friday. So I said, Well, the understanding was that what you said to me was the movers are going to be here on Thursday.
Missy:When they didn't show up on Thursday, I think it was based on House rules that you should have notified me, Hey, they're not going be here on Thursday. Instead, they're showing up on Friday. So she said, Well, I didn't have to tell you that because you're not here on Fridays, and I said, My schedule changes all the time. It's flexible. I said, My schedule fluctuates and my comings and goings are really not of your concern no more than I concern myself with your comings and goings,
Denise:Right.
Missy:And she threw up her hands and started yelling at me and says, I don't have time for this. It's your fault. You weren't supposed to be here on Friday. And she goes, You know, you have such a problem with being disrespected. She told me that I have broken her peace three times.
Missy:Then she started yelling at me saying that I make her angry and then finished it off by telling me I was a disappointment. So that was the result of it.
Denise:You know who says things like you're a disappointment? A parent whose kid comes in at 1AM when their curfew was 11PM, when you didn't do your chores. Who is she to call you a disappointment? As if you are obligated or have some form of responsibility to be a certain thing, person, or image in her eyes. I find it odd that she would say things like, you don't like being disrespected, do you?
Denise:Well, duh, nobody does. And then to say you're a disappointment as if you're in a review at work. Yeah. Already I'm seeing bizarre behavior that tells me so much about who she is already.
Missy:Yeah. And so now I've gotta begin my day with kind of that playing over in my mind, like, I can't believe this, and now I've got to go and ground myself and do readings all day in Sedona. Not only that, but now I have to come home to the environment that no longer holds me safely, or It just is amazing to me that this is a person that could not take any accountability for their actions no matter how nice I was, how cooperative I've been. I think she's got some things shadow work maybe she needs to do. I don't know.
Denise:Yeah. She's got a lot going on. Mental conflict, solitude and isolation, constant need for power, needing to be in control, And mentally conflicted is what really grabbed me. Like, I saw a lot of confusion. So listen, I'm not here to judge.
Denise:I think there is something going on with her mentally. But what concerns me is the disruption of your peace and your home. You go to the center, you expel so much energy, time, and effort. You know, Missy, spirit lately has been telling you and I that we have to be the bigger person. Whenever something's a conflict, it's like, but you guys know better.
Denise:Yeah. You know what? But sometimes I don't always wanna be the bigger person. Right? Sometimes I'm tired of being the bigger person.
Denise:It comes with the territory. It is kinda how I wanna say it. And spirits like, dude, you guys do this for a living. You know, are complicated people out there and you always have to set an example. And sometimes I just wanna be like, you know what spirit?
Denise:I'm just, I'm tired. And so when I see what's happening and of course, the long story short is unfortunately had to get the landlord involved, like we're in third grade, he say she say, and the moral of the story is your landlord who lived with you for nine months knows who you are. But you said something very interesting to me after you've gone through all this and this woman testing you and even people you said in your personal life recently have been testing you and taking advantage of you. And you started to feel really down because you guys Yeah. We feel down too.
Denise:We have days where we don't feel good. Nobody wants to be fighting with the tenant above you. Like, we want peaceful lives. Yeah. So the reason why we even wanted to talk about this today is because of the experiences Missy had just today after going through so much beat down by
Missy:Yep.
Denise:Tenants, by people in her personal life, friendships. Right?
Missy:Yep. Yeah. I really feel like Spirit's toughening me up. You and I have talked about that before, that I feel like I'm putting on a tougher skin and really standing my ground, but also speaking my truth. But I really felt bad about this situation, because I felt like, what more do I need to do to create or to have the peace experienced when the landlord was here?
Missy:How do I get that back? I said, Spirit, you're really going to have to show me that I have some sort of support. So, I had to go do my grocery shopping and I had to go to Home Depot and pick up a few things, I went into Home Depot and I'm replanting my lucky bamboo and my money tree. I saw one of the workers there and as I approached her, said, Hey, I have these two plants and I don't know what kind of potting soil to get. I was explaining to her the situation.
Missy:Before she responded to me, goes, Before I get into all of that, I just want to tell you that you're a beautiful woman. You really are. I was like, Wow. Thank you so much. She says, Yeah, you're put together.
Missy:I said, Wow, here I am in just some baggy pants and a shirt, and she thought I was put together. I said, Thank you so much. That really means a lot to me. She says, Well, women have to stick together. Women have to be good to each other.
Missy:There's so many of us out there that are tearing each other down. When someone's successful, they find a problem with her, and maybe it's her hair or clothes or whatever it may be, or they just pick her apart. That really meant a lot to me to hear that. It just, I don't know, it gave me a little pep in my step, and then I had to get some things from inside Home Depot. I dealt with another woman, and we were just having a conversation about me trying to find a scraper to deal with hard stains, hard water stains, and she just goes, You're a sweetheart.
Missy:And I said, Oh my God, thank you so much. And she proceeded to use the word sweetheart in everything she said to me after that. Okay, sweetheart, is there anything more I need to do for you? What else can I do for you, sweetheart? I hope you have a great day, sweetheart.
Missy:It was just amazing, and I bounced out of store because I felt like I had been torn down by a friend recently and then having to deal with this tenant situation. I go into the grocery store, and after paying for my groceries, the woman turned to me and she goes, You saved seven Eleven. And I was like, Oh, seven Eleven. That's such a great number. I need to go buy a lottery ticket.
Missy:Then as I was standing at the lottery machine, I heard a voice behind me say, May the gambling gods be with you, and when I turned around, it's a man that I have run into several times at the lottery machine, and we got talking just about energy, and he mentioned to me that his wife was going through some chemotherapy, and I asked him if it would be okay if I sent prayers his way, and I said that I work with Archangel Raphael and Archangel Michael, and we got talking, and he showed me these tattoos on his arms of basically Archangel Michael and a saying that was in Latin, and knew he was spiritual. He proceeded to say to me, You're such a lovely person. You're so positive, and you're so kind and friendly, and you're put together, and I love your hair, and you're just a really lovely person. And I was like, God, thank you, Spirit
Denise:spirit 100% reminding you
Missy:Mhmm. That, yeah, don't buy into what one person has to say about you. I've just shown you three people that don't know you, but see you and see your light.
Denise:And can I tell you, I just realized when you said there were three people, and it was three people that you were having the issues with? Right? Mhmm. And then there were three people that validated this beauty about you.
Missy:Yeah.
Denise:It reminds me of when my mom and dad separated and my mom wasn't in a good place right after maybe like weeks after everywhere she went, people would say to her, you're so beautiful. You're, you're glowing. Like, you're just like, it didn't matter where she went. Men were asking for her phone number. I'd love to take you out to dinner.
Denise:People were saying she was glowing. And I didn't know it at the time because I was 18 years old. But when she was telling me the story, all I could see or envision was an egg with a crack in it. And through the crack was this beautiful light. And I think about someone when you're in a relationship for twenty, thirty years, you do your best to compromise, overcompensate.
Denise:Do whatever you can to meet each other halfway, but some of us do lose our way. You know, there's a reason when sometimes you see couples and they start to look alike Where they finished each other's sentences, like you start to become one with someone and you lose a little bit of yourself and you hope that you lose the not so great side. You wanna make sure you keep the good parts of you. But I kept envisioning my mom as this egg that had this light always within her that was probably dimmed because of the relationship with my dad. And the minute he was gone, all of a sudden you're glowing.
Denise:All of a sudden men can't stop asking you out. Women are stopping you in stores. I mean, she was in Bloomingdale's and this woman was like, I just had to come over and tell you your skin is stunning. And I said, mom, there's such a beauty in that. Right.
Denise:Sometimes we have to kind of be broken, cracked a little. Yeah. I feel like Missy lately, you've been really tested. I mean, I think we've got like a good three, four cracks going on here.
Missy:Yeah.
Denise:Right? Yet this beauty keeps glowing that even people who don't know you're like, wow, that they have to stop you, that they have to say something. The guy you wanna pray for, he's got, do you know Raphael? Of course I do. He's like, he's got like all, what does he have?
Denise:Uriel on his back? Like he had the archangels all over him. Like if that is not spirit loud and clear, I don't know what is. And when Missy was telling me about this issue, she was considering maybe she should leave because now our peace is disrupted. Listen, you guys were doing readings nonstop.
Denise:We're tired. We're exhausted. I want to go home and we want to stay in a place of peace. Sometimes we don't want to talk. We will find time to talk.
Denise:There are days where I will have it and I'll pick up the phone and call a friend or I'll say, listen, can I call you this weekend? Like that's the type of solitude that we need groundedness that we have to create. Everybody's groundedness is different. And so to know that like she works all day and then you have to come home and deal with, I mean, the woman was even telling you about portals and she's closing portals. I mean, like, so she's not like, where are you lady?
Denise:Where are you? And, and then, and now you're protecting yourself. So I told Missy, grab pieces of tourmaline and put them around and protect. And she's doing her drumming and her sound bowl healing. And she's doing all of this to make sure her peace, her solace is at peace.
Denise:That's crazy. You shouldn't have to do. Right? And so the idea of, you know, you thinking, God, maybe I should leave. That's when I remembered my beautiful quote with the sunflower. you got to set peace of mind as your highest priority and then build your life around it. But I love that Spirit wanted you. They wanted to be very clear to you that it is not you.
Missy:Yeah.
Denise:Those three examples today, clear indicator. It's not you.
Missy:No, and it's hard because and you and I have talked about this off air where I've said, Gosh, you know, is it me? I feel like it's me. I'm the common denominator, and I just start to re-examine how do I speak to people, how do I act around people. I just start to really question, just taking off the psychic hat, who am I as just a human being, and so I go into this space of what's wrong with me, why do I deal with this all the time. I get to almost shaking my fist in the air and asking spirit, why? Why me? Even I go through that. And you go through that of why are we dealing with this? Why does this have to be so difficult?
Denise:Years ago, I had a reading with a guy in New York. Love him. Took my first archangels class with him. Another significant nugget that changed my life. And I remember him doing a reading for me. And I said a friend's name and he stopped me and he paused and he said, why do you keep lowering your vibration to match hers?
Missy:Yeah.
Denise:That was a light bulb for me. So here I am thinking I'm the problem. Right?
Denise:Like, maybe, you know, I I I'm too short with her or maybe I need to be a little bit more patient. And he was like, no, you keep lowering your vibration to match people. You need to be surrounded by people who can elevate
Missy:or want to do the work.
Denise:So when I hear you say things like, God, am I the common denominator? It feels like the common denominator. I gotta tell you the people that have left your life busy in the last three years needed to leave your life. You didn't see it. I think you love and care for people so much that you give them way too much rope.
Missy:I would agree with you.
Denise:And you're holding on for dear life on this piece of rope and it's like, Nope, spirit's like, buddy, just let it go. Like even, even with the lady upstairs, right? You know, the lady that lives in the attic, that's what we'll call her. Like the idea that you were so kind to tell her about her tire. Right?
Missy:Yeah.
Denise:Most people would say, you know what, screw her and her tire. I'm not talking to her at all. But that's not you. Because you don't like confrontation.
Denise:You don't like bad energy. Let me find a way to break the ice and here you are trying to break the ice and just be kind and considerate and look at what it turned into. And then you go back inside and you say, God, it's me. It's not you. The only thing I would say is you is that maybe you try too hard.
Denise:Yeah. Right? Like I just want peace. Sometimes you have to chase your peace. When someone's sitting in a relationship for four, five, six years, and they're wondering why they're still not comfortable.
Denise:They're wondering why I have no desire to give my girlfriend an engagement ring. There's a reason for that. Right. So let's make sure we get out of this comfort zone that, Alan Cohen says, don't be afraid to come out of your comfort zone, especially when it's not all that comfortable to begin with. So when you think about your comfort zone and what that should look like, that's all you have to focus on.
Denise:Hence the quote said peace of mind is your highest priority and then build your life around it. I don't think you're going to have as big of a problem, but you and I know a lot more to what you just shared with the audience. There's a lot going on where nobody's meeting you halfway. Right? I would rather you go find a place where you are by yourself, where maybe you don't have someone that lives above, below you, because you need a place of peace.
Missy:Yeah.
Denise:Then you build around that.
Missy:I think I've had the life, and then I'm trying to build my peace. Then I'm going out and searching for peace. You know what I mean? With this- But it's be the opposite.
Denise:It's got to be Oh the
Missy:yeah. You know, I'm learning that. I'm learning that the hard way. I know that what I've been going through psychically and spiritually over the past several months is kind of a toughening of my outer skin, because I am the, I'll give you a chance and then a third chance and a fourth chance, even to the detriment of my own energy, giving my energy away, staying in friendships that I no longer need to be in and should have ended years ago. Ignore the signs.
Denise:Can't ignore the signs.
Missy:Ignoring all the signs. I think you mentioned this earlier, was, yes, we are psychic. We are intuitive and everything, but sometimes there's just that human side of me that I can't get out of my own way to look at things clearly to try to come up with a solution for myself. Yes, me too. I have to do the work.
Missy:That's the shadow work that I need to do. This can be conditioning from growing up where maybe I was always the one that compromised. This could be past life energy. This could be anything, and yes, I but am an it's hard for me sometimes to see the clarity even when I am intuitive with my own stuff that's going on.
Denise:Because we're human. Every psychic has a psychic as every medium has a medium. That's why Missy and I have each other. Exactly. You know what really grabbed me the day when she yelled at you and said you took her peace away and she bashed you and then she walked away.
Denise:You went to the Center for the New Age and had some of the most amazing readings that day. And that, that didn't go over my head. I remember when you said that to me, I said, I see you spirit talk about toughening you up. And you and I have talked about that For you to go through that and be so upset. I mean, people don't realize, like, we have to constantly clear our energy.
Denise:I'm cleansing and I'm telling spirit, clear me so that I am a clear vessel for this next reading. Remove anything I've got going on in my life right now that is upsetting, that is distressing, so that I can be a clear channel. So the idea that you went through that and you were so upset and you couldn't believe her behavior and you didn't really know which way to go, and then you go and have amazing readings, that spirit toughening you up. Yeah. It's a part of the psychic syllabus.
Denise:Yeah.
Missy:Absolutely, and not only did she upset me so much by yelling at me and, Oh, you're a disappointment, I get in the car and I knew at that moment I needed to talk to the landlord, This has gotten out of hand. I can no longer keep the peace. I can't be that person, and so now I'm having a conversation for twenty five minutes on my way to Sedona with my landlord about all the things that are going on, so I'm still in the energy. Then the moment I hit my space at the center, I gotta be on. I gotta let all of that go.
Missy:I've gotta let spirit clear me. I can't think about me anymore. The moment I got there right at 10:00, I get the call. You have a half hour mediumship, so I've gotta allow family members to step forward. I've gotta allow for distortion in relationships to take place.
Missy:I'm holding space for a man whose grandfather was an alcoholic. I've gotta put everything aside that I'm going through and what I'm dealing with, and I've got to be that place of safety for someone else and everyone else all day long.
Missy:Then I can go feel sorry for myself. You know?
Denise:I'm a little over done. Then you can go cry. You know,
Denise:I remember being so upset one time. It was actually a client that upset me. He ended up texting me that night and apologizing. Everybody has bad days. Everybody has good days.
Denise:Even our clients. Right? But I do remember having two readings after my session with him and the minute that last session ended, Missy, I hit end on the call and the tears just started to flow. Yep. And I said, thank you spirit for allowing my feelings to be put aside for those other two clients afterwards.
Denise:Yes, It was like on the tip of my everything, my tongue. Yeah. My thoughts. But spirit was like, no, no, no. You got a job to do.
Denise:Clear me. I need to be a clear vessel. And let me tell you, those two readings after the ugly reading, would say
Missy:Yeah.
Denise:Were wonderful. Amazing. The clarity was insane. There's something about our vulnerability and it allows us to trust spirit implicitly because we have to surrender. I don't know what else to do right now.
Denise:And the minute I hung up, the tears started to flow. I can't tell the last time I let a client upset me so much that it brought oh, lie. I can. It was 2018.
Missy:Oh, that's when you did my first reading with you, was it me?.
Denise:It was you. No. I'm just Right? 2018, I'll never forget. I actually think I shared it on the maybe I didn't, I don't know.
Denise:But it was 2018 and I remember when that client made me cry, I was like, I will never allow another client made me cry. Yep. He made me cry. And just as I was going to send him a text message and I was literally going to say this relationship is going to end. Like it was that bad.
Missy:Yeah.
Denise:I go to hit send and he texts me and he said, Denise, I want to apologize for my behavior. He's like, I love you. You have been a part of my life for eight years. I am forever grateful. I think I had a bad day.
Denise:I think like, you know, he just went down the list and I'm thank God he did because my email wasn't that nice. So I'm so glad right before I hit send, he sent that to me because I knew I didn't deserve it. Yeah. I was a punching bag. But you know what?
Denise:We're human. Yeah. Right? We're human. But I appreciated the accountability.
Denise:And that's the problem that you're having the last couple of months. In that your just can't own up to it. Her response to you was, you don't like being disrespected, do you? So you just admitted that you have been disrespecting me. Hello?
Denise:Exactly. You saying that is you saying, I know I've been disrespecting you and apparently you don't like it. Well, likes to be disrespected. Yeah. Right?
Denise:So do I think that you become, you know, a gangster and now you kick the door open when you walk in and you you blast your music to be a petty Betty? No. We're not doing that. Right? Because what does spirit always say in these situations?
Denise:And I know you're tired of hearing me say it, be the bigger person. Spirit's always telling us to be the bigger person. They're saying you have more wisdom. You have the wisdom to know better. It's kind of like a parent to a child.
Denise:You know better. Yeah. Discipline them, take their phone away, right? Know better. And they do this with us, with our clients, even with our friends.
Denise:But I agree with you in what you said earlier, which is I feel like I am being tested to some degree and missy you are. How many times have I kind of hinted here and there? Like stop taking that. Why do you just keep saying yes? Don't say yes to that person.
Denise:We got to start saying no. What you are doing is you are creating healthy boundaries around you and around your work and around your Yeah.
Missy:And I think you alluded to something and it was what I shared with my landlord, which was that I can't continue to be someone's punching bag because they lack the ability to take accountability. They don't want to take responsibility for their actions. I don't think it's fair to me that I am on the receiving end of that until they get their act together. And she agreed. She says, no, don't think you should feel that way.
Denise:It's like in everything in life, like if you're in a relationship and you feel this way, right? You gotta know when to walk. You gotta know when to walk away and when to run. And guess what? If this situation, which you and I have talked about, we won't go into details about it because spirit has already declared what's gonna happen.
Denise:But yeah, if you have to leave to find that peace of mind, you find that peace of mind. I need you to go somewhere in your life, some location, whether it is a state, a town, where you know that you feel safe. Yeah. Because people don't realize is sometimes silence is the answer. Peace is the answer.
Denise:Sometimes I just wanna sit in my room with nothing on, not a TV, not an iPad, just me.
Missy:Well, thought you were talking about clothes.
Denise:Like, I just wanna sit
Missy:in my room with nothing on.
Denise:Nothing on. Aw. Right. No. You're right.
Missy:There there are times that I feel, I just I wanna come home. I wanna draw, you know, the curtains, the shade. I I want all the lights off. I wanna pull the covers over my head, and I just wanna disappear for a little while. It doesn't mean that I don't love the work that I do.
Missy:It's just that it gets really heavy sometimes and the only way I know how to bring that peace back is to just be silent, and it is why I read a lot. People who know me know that I read, I don't know, fifty, sixty books a year. I'm listening to one. I've got one on my Kindle that I take to the center in between readings, and then I'm reading a book at night, so I've got three going at one time. That's my peace.
Denise:Yeah. There you go.
Missy:I get to escape into somebody else's story for a moment. Right?
Denise:That's right. And you guys, you have to find what brings you peace in life. And it doesn't matter what people think. If peace for you is going to feed the homeless, go feed the homeless. If peace for you is to come home and do a 1,000 piece puzzle, Make sure you find time to do it.
Denise:And it doesn't surprise me that Missy loves to read we got to escape. Even me giving you the example of me 18 years old and every time my mom would talk about people saying she's glowing, I would see an egg. I now know that I was psychic and I just didn't understand. I thought it was my imagination, but it wasn't. It was showing me this beautiful light.
Denise:And can I tell you since my mom left my dad, buddy, the light that has come from my mother? I'm telling you, she could do this work if she wasn't so biased. Right? My mother wasn't so biased, he would be amazing at what it is that Missy and I do. But just because you have the gift doesn't mean you're supposed to do it the way that we do.
Denise:Right? And we've talked about that before. But I'm glad that you got the validation today from Spirit through strangers. Strangers. Absolute strangers reminding you of how beautiful you are.
Denise:It's a reminder what is happening right now is not about you. It's about opening you up in situations like this. So you know what? The next time you see her tire flat, you walk right past that bad boy and you let her figure it out on her own because she doesn't know how to communicate properly.
Missy:Yeah.
Denise:We're not communicating with people who don't know how to communicate properly anymore. Not giving our energy to people who don't respect the energy that we put into them.
Missy:Well, yeah, and I think that speaks to us needing to have healthy boundaries, right? I remember something Spirit said to me and continues to say to me is that boundaries are not rude. They're not mean. They're imperative. And you have the right to set standards for people who get access to your energy.
Missy:You have the right to be in relationships that feel reciprocal. You give, I receive. I give, you receive. You have a right to just be in relationships that support you and love you and guide you and hold you and make you feel like your peace is not only now around you, but it is also within you.
Denise:That's right. And gotta learn to walk away. Something doesn't feel right. You gotta learn to walk away. I wanna pull a card.
Denise:I realized we didn't pull a card last week.
Missy:Yeah. Please do.
Denise:Yeah. So, guys, for the collective. Card says choose peace.
Missy:Are you kidding?
Denise:No. It says choose peace. But can I also tell you, let go and freedom fell through?
Missy:Oh, wow.
Denise:Missy and I, we were actually talking earlier on whether she should kinda walk away. You sit with it. Right?
Missy:Yeah. No. I still am.
Denise:Yeah. I think that let go and freedom was for you, but for the collective, I got choose peace. At the end of the day, you wanna choose peace. So when that psychic said to me, why do you keep lowering your vibration to match this person? It was an eye opener for me.
Denise:And all I did was I started to notice my body reactions. Every time she would call and her name would pop up, I'd go, Ugh. And then I thought, Wow, there's one indicator. Then something else would happen. Like, I'm not happy to hear from this person.
Denise:Now I understood what they meant by why are you lowering your vibration?
Missy:Yeah.
Denise:You can't hold onto things just because, oh, we've known each other for so long. Oh, but we went through trauma together fifteen years ago. People grow, right? We grow. And so you got to find peace and it didn't have to be nasty.
Denise:The way that I actually pulled away from this person, it was pretty organic and it was organic because I asked Spirit to help me remove this person from me in a gentle way. No animosity. We actually still speak every once in a while today, but we're just not as close as we were before. And that is okay because I am now at peace.
Missy:Right. And that's the let go and freedom for you as well.
Denise:There you go. Right? So guys, if you said peace of mind as your highest priority and then build your life around it, I want you all right now just to close your eyes. And I just want you to inhale, hold it, two, three, hold it, hold it and release.
Denise:I want you to do it again. Inhale, hold it. One, two, three, hold it, hold it and release. And when you do this next inhale, I want you to imagine that thing that keeps you away from your peace at this time in your life. Hold it.
Denise:And then I want you to exhale whatever that is, whether it is a thing, whether it is a person, a job, a business partnership, your landscaper, whatever it is, release it. And you've got to give it to God. And you've got to say, I now know I need to be at peace. Help me walk through this. Because remember, guys, freewill is a beautiful thing.
Denise:When I tell you angels will not move forward until you give them permission, give them permission to allow you to release. I was in a horrible relationship for five years. And I never once asked because deep down inside, I kind of wanted to be in the mess. And when I finally was sick and tired of it, and I said, I can't marry this man, get me out of this. Within two hours, the wedding was canceled.
Denise:We were done. He was out. I can't tell you how it started. And I always envisioned when I said, Okay, guys, I'm ready to get him out of my life. There was like red alert, red alert, she's finally asking.
Denise:They were all rushing down to heaven, out of heaven, and they were coming and to they were, they could not wait because for five years I blocked didn't want peace. Wanted it to work. There's a difference. I didn't want peace. I wanted it to work.
Denise:Your guide says, please choose peace.
